I'm Back!!
I'm sure that many of you have already seen these cute faces around on blogs and maybe even layouts lately. I'm just a little slower than the rest, lol. These are my friends from the digi retreat last weekend at Park City! I can't believe that was a week ago already. I probably wouldn't be blogging now if it wasn't for these fine ladies. I've been in such a slump lately with all things digital, but hanging out with these amazingly creative ladies really helped me to get the wheels spinning again and realize how much I've missed it. It was only maybe two months, lol, but that seemed like eternity. Anyway we always have such a great time scrapping, chatting, and my favorite eating ;) Here are a couple of layouts that I scrapped while I was there.

In other news Grace had a book fair at her school last week so of course she was so excited to go and pick out a book. To my surprise I "got" to pick out a book too and since I'm so health concious I picked Cupcakes from the Cake Doctor by Anne Byrn. I've always wanted to get one of her cook books. Last week I tried one and I want to share it with you. If you love chocolate and peanut butter this is the cupcake for you! They were YUMMY!
24 Hershey's Kisses
1 Package plain yellow cake mix
1 1/2 c. water
1/3 c. smooth peanut butter
1/3 c. vegetable oil
3 large eggs
1 t. vanilla
8 Reese's Peanut Butter Cups
Chocolate Buttercream Frosting
Preheat oven to 350 degrees {FYI-put peanut butter cups in the freezer for at least 30 min. and they'll be really easy to chop up for your topping). Mix together cake mix, water, peanut butter, oil, eggs, and vanilla. Fill 24 cupcake liners 2/3 of the way full. Unwrap your kisses and lightly place one of each on the top of the batter (FYI-when I make these again I think I'll go without the kisses. They were definitely good, but hardened back up inside the cupcake and these will be just as tasty without them). Cook for 18-20 min. Let cool and then frost with buttercream frosting. Then top with chopped peanut butter cups. Now devour!!
Whoever actually tries these cupcakes and e-mails me at tiffj.brady@yahoo.com I'll sent you a $5 gift certificate to the place of your choice!
Well I guess that's all for today! Hopefully I'll be bringing you another tried cupcake recipe next week ;) Thanks so much for reading!
xoxo for now.
