The 21 Day Challenge!

The amazing Rhonna Farrer is doing The 21 Day Challenge on her blog. It just started a few days ago and she has a quote up each day. Go check it out and see what it's all about. This is a challenge that can be done over an over again. I should probably do it every 21 days for the rest of my life, lol. I still need to start journaling, but I definitely didn't want to miss getting these great motivating quotes. I'm making these 4x6 layouts to put into a 21 Day album. My layouts are all created using Rhonna's stuff!
Dreaming of Spring!

I played around with my papers and made this layout that illustrates my yearning for Spring, lol. It was pretty sunny yesterday though and even got up to 40 degrees, yeah! I usually am not one to talk about the weather (unlike my mom and grandma, lol), but being able to atleast go outside makes a big difference for Grace and Abby.

Still Playing Around
I'm really really wanting SPRING! So here's a little something that I created thinking about planting flowers and whatnot. I hope you enjoy it! Please e-mail me a link of you create something any post it! Thanks! Let me know if the link runs out!
Anyway

It is now 1:18 am and I sitting here posting this layout while my two girls are in my bed snoozing away. When Corey is gone they seem to always end up being my snuggle buddies (Grace always gets in bed with us anyway, lol). I've had this quote on my fridge for quite awhile, but I didn't scrap it until tonight. I really love this a lot. It gets me thinking and really puts things into perspective for me. Well I guess that I better hit the "sack." Good night! Or should I say good morning?

This and That

There's not much going on here today. Corey is going out of town overnight tonight so I'm going to Ginger's for dinner and American Idol! Wow, that about all I have to say. Boring I know, lol. Anyway, here's a layout that I did of Grace and Abby today. Hopefully my life will get more exciting in the near future, lol.

Favorite Colors

This is my layout that I did for week 8 of the Simply You challenge at Scrapartist. Of course I used my new flowers which I can't get enough of. On Saturday I got to go to Salt Lake and have lunch with the Utah Digi Scrappers. We try to get together every few months, but I hadn't gone since August so it was fun to see everyone again and to put faces with usernames, lol. Everyone brings their albums and it's so fun to see all of the cool stuff that my fellow digi gals are creating. The time went way too fast. I guess that I better do some house cleaning, UGH! Have a great Presidents Day!

Trying Designing Again!

Download Here!!
I keep playing around with the idea of designing, and I'm just having fun trying to figure some things out. Mostly I'm trying to figure out what my style is, lol. Here is a paper pack that I just made. If you like it, please take it and use it! If you post a layout using it please tell me, I'd love to see it.
I sent it to Scrap Artist to put in the freebie exchange, so if this link runs out, check there in day or so.
Let me know what you think!

One Happy Valentine!

Let me start out by saying that in years past the most I could ask for was a card on Valentines Day (and sometimes I didn't even get that, lol). Last night my husband came home with two gifts for me (he couldn't wait for today). He bought me a jogging suit (which was something that I'd wanted for quit awhile) and some really cute clogs!!!!! I love them both and am soooo impress that he went shopping in the women's section on his own! I'm am definitely thankful for him and for all that he does for me and my girls. I made this little layout for him and framed it and I love this picture because I reminds me of how we felt about each other 6 years ago before we were married (and how much thinner, lol). I hope everyone has an awesome Valentines full of surprises!
ps. I used Michelle Coleman's Sentimental Journey kit to make this layout. Love it!

"Fairy" Tale

I snagged this free adorable fairy costume the other day and I've been dying to use it. The only thing is that I couldn't think of what to do. Then I thought about all of the cool collage layouts that I've been seeing lately and had an idea. Grace, my 3 1/2 year old has a great imagination so I asked her to tell me a story about a fairy princess. This is the tale that she told and the layout to go with it. She was so excited to see herself as a fairy princess. She also thought that I could just print the fairy costume so she could wear it.
This is her story (I smoothed it out a bit, lol) :
Once upon a time there was a girl dressed up like a fairy princess named Grace. She went into the forest and met a squirrel and then it began to rain. The rain stopped flowing and the sun came out. Then is was Valentines and everybody sang the Alphabet song to Grace. A bear came and chased her to her grandma’s house where she saw a wolf. She went inside and started eating popcorn when she heard a clinking sound. The roof was on fire! A fire engine came and put out the fire. The stars started to twinkle in the sky. Santa came and brought Grace a new baby. It was her
birthday and she said that she wanted some streamers. After her party she ate her dinner, played a game with her grandma, and lived happily ever after.

Flower Fix
So I'm not a big spender when it comes to buying digital kits and whatnot. There are so many great people out there that have great freebies and giveaways that I've snagged and haven't even used yet. I have been drooling over this brush set for quite awhile though and I just had to have it today. It's called Flower Fix by Anne Langpap at Two Peas! I can't wait to start playing with it! It's going to have to just sit for now though, because I have a date with my 3 year old. Our church is doing a "muffins with Mom" morning, so we get to go, eat, and read Grace's favorite books together. She's hoping that they have chocolate chip muffins. We'll see!

The Office

I'm a little behind on my Simply You layouts, but I'm catching up quickly. I did this layout last night about my favorite show, The Office. Corey went to St. George with some friends to golf in the warm weather and I couldn't sleep with him gone so I stayed up until around 1:00 playing around with this layout. It's not my usually style, but it was fun to do.

A Little Help

Here is a layout that I did about Abby always sticking her head through the banister. I used Amy Tanabe's new Tiki papers. They're so fun and bright!
Rough and Tumble Times Two!
Okay, so I was able to snatch the oh-so-awesome kit called Rough and Tumble last night (from the Scrap Artist crop/chat) and I'm so excited to use it!! I was still kind of in the middle of a Super Bowl Party, so I wasn't able to really chat, lol. I was trying to be sneaky, but it didn't work so well. My husband Corey's family came, brought some great food, screamed at the TV for a few hours, and then went home. It was pretty fun and now I have left overs so I'm sure that I'm going to be gaining more weight as the day goes on, lol.
The Second "rough and tumble" came at about 3:00 AM! My two daughters were in their beds screaming (they share a room). I got half way up the stairs and all of a sudden the "barky" coughing started and I knew, ABBY HAS CROUP! It's the third time this winter and I'm a little bit sick of it! I had to sit outside with her in the cold air for awhile. One thing that I did learn by sitting outside in the middle of the night is that the milk man makes his deliveries around 3ish! If anyone was wondering, lol. So anyway, I ended up sleeping with the two girls (Grace had to be with us) in the guest bed and Abby "tumbled" onto the floor at about 7:00. Not a great way to wake up especially for a sick baby, but she's fine now. Needles to say, I can't wait for summer, lol!

You can download it now and then snatch the password to open it at the crop! What an awesome freebie! I think this is the only Valentine Kit you'll ever need!

The World of Blinkies!
Okay, so I just learned how to make blinkies and I can't believe how easy it is! Everyone's been saying that they made there's in Adobe ImageReady and I had no clue what they were talking about. After searching the internet for the software I had this bright idea to just look on my computer and there it was! I already had it and didn't know, lol. So my good friend Ange
sent me this tutorial on how to make blinkies! I was pretty easy to follow and I've made two blinkies so far. It's a good thing that you can only use so much space in your signature line, or I might have gotten little too blinkie happy!
